Connect any other client

The three facts any MCP client needs to reach your Goosy Bear account, plus a prompt that wires it up for you.

Any client that speaks MCP over HTTP can reach your account. Give it these three facts in whatever shape it uses.

1. Create a key

   On Settings → API & MCP, create a key and copy it — it is shown once.

2. Put the key in your environment

   export GOOSY_API_KEY="<paste the key you copied when you minted it>"
   
3. Give your client the three facts

   Server URL:       https://app.goosybear.ai/api/mcp/mcp
   Transport:        Streamable HTTP
   Authorization:    Bearer ${GOOSY_API_KEY}   (reference the variable — never paste the key)
   
4. Or let the client configure itself

   Paste this into your client’s agent:

   Add an MCP server using the Streamable HTTP transport. The server URL is https://app.goosybear.ai/api/mcp/mcp. It authenticates with a bearer token in the Authorization header. Reference the token through the GOOSY_API_KEY environment variable using this client's own syntax — do NOT hard-code it into a config file that gets committed. Use the correct config shape for this client, then confirm the connection works.
   
5. Check it

   Ask the client to list its tools and confirm the Goosy ones appear.

Whatever the client’s syntax, reference the variable rather than pasting the key — a config file with a key in it is a credential in your version history.
